Ti 6-2-4-2 is a fast-alpha alloy primarily used for its high strength and robustness. It exhibits good creep resistance up to 550°C.
The forging and machining properties of Ti 6-2-4-2 are similar to those of Ti 6Al-4V.
The weldability of Ti 6-2-4-2 is satisfactory when using AMS 4952 welding wire. Multiple different treatments are available.
